Mental Health in Schools

Finally.

The moment many of us have waited for, and the moment maybe some of you haven't really thought about. Either way, it's a great bit of news to wake to.

On 6th Nov Parliament have agreed to debate Mental Health as a subject in primary and secondary schools. It is what children need and can really benefit from. It's not going to rule out the issue, but hopefully prevent it, or at least help people get through it. Children aren't explicitly aware of mental health issues, if you don't go through them, how would they know? The concept can be pretty daunting for young people.

So hopefully by adding the topic to the school syllabus; mental health and it's surrounding issues can be taught in an insightful yet partially serious way. Stop it from being so taboo and help people to understand it and maybe even how to help others with it.
